AIN’T EASY BEING FREEZY !

Freezy Macbones (Seth Gyimah), born and raised in a small village called Bimma in Ghana decided to take the leap and come to the UK in 2012 in search of a better life and better work for himself and family. At the start, things did not go great for Freezy, he got let down by a few people and in turn found himself homeless for 2-3 weeks. Nevertheless, being the hard working man he is, he wasn’t going to be beaten in his search for a new and more rewarding life.

Freezy was always interested in boxing, he remembers walking miles through a forest when he was younger in order to watch a Mike Tyson fight in the next village, as they had electricity. Freezy started boxing from 2017 at the age of 27 and has surprised many people over the years with his sheer hunger and dedication to the sport. During his amateur days, Freezy was working 2 jobs, day and night, which was hard as training was at the forefront of his mind. He used to run with his boxing gear in town, from Old Kent Road to Wimbledon (9 miles) to work as a kitchen porter at Rhubarb, life was tough at this point and Freezy had to quit one of his jobs so he could focus the time he needed training.
